Licensed Professional Counselor & Sport and Performance Psychology Professional
About me
I’m Stephanie Steele, MA, LPC a Licensed Professional Counselor and Sport & Performance Psychology Doctoral Candidate based in Colorado.
My work lives at the intersection of mental health and high performance. I support individuals, athletes, couples, and families in building resilience, clarity, and confidence whether navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, or performance pressure.
Education & Professional Background
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology and a Certificate in Conflict Management from Regis University in 2015, where I first developed a deep appreciation for emotional insight, communication, and human behavior. I went on to complete my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Regis University in 2022.
Currently, I am pursuing a Doctorate in Sport and Performance Psychology through The University of Arizona, further expanding my expertise in mental wellness, resilience, identity development, and performance enhancement for athletes and high-achievers.
My training integrates trauma-informed care, conflict resolution, and evidence-based mental skills strategies.
Clinical Approach
Therapy with me is collaborative, structured, and goal-oriented.
I believe meaningful growth happens when clients feel both supported and challenged. Sessions focus on building practical tools you can apply outside of therapy not just processing, but progressing.
Areas of focus include:
• Anxiety and stress management
• Relationship and communication challenges
• Trauma recovery
• Identity development and life transitions
• Confidence and performance barriers
Whether you're working toward emotional healing or striving to sharpen your mental edge, our work will be tailored to your goals.
A Unique Perspective for Athletes & Performers
Athletes and high-performers face pressures that extend beyond the field, court, or workplace. I support individuals at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels through:
• Performance anxiety
• Injury recovery
• Burnout and motivation shifts
• Confidence rebuilding
• Identity beyond sport
• Transition into or out of competition
By combining clinical mental health counseling with sport psychology principles, I offer a holistic approach that strengthens both emotional well-being and performance capacity.
A Safe & Inclusive Space
As a practicing Catholic, my personal faith informs how I show up with compassion, integrity, and respect. However, therapy with me is always client-centered and inclusive. I welcome individuals from all spiritual, cultural, and personal backgrounds. You will never be judged or expected to share my beliefs.
This space is for you your goals, your values, and your growth.
